UPDATE 5/23/2011: It should also be noted that GRACE should be informed of any evidence you have in the form of letters, diary/journal notations, meeting minutes, etc. Ask them if they’d like you to scan or photograph the items in question.
Also, if you are not with ABWE, but corresponded with a Bangladesh missionary during the summer and fall of 1989, your letters may also be important. Please find and read them, to see if they can help shed light on GRACE’s investigation by way of how they mention (or do not mention) the Ketcham’s departure from the field that summer.
If you have already provided Dave DeCook with your contact information (or the moderators of this blog) then you should be on GRACE’s contact list for the investigation. However, if you preferred to wait and contact GRACE directly, you may do so now.
We have the following statement from them, with instructions for contact:
As GRACE prepares to move forward its independent investigation, we think it is critical that they obtain contact information of every individual (MK or adult) who was on the field in Bangladesh at the same time as Donn Ketcham or who has any knowledge regarding the abuse perpetrated by DK or the manner in which ABWE handled the situation. We are asking that you simply send us GRACE your email address and indicate whether you were an MK or adult on the field at the time. Please send this information to the following GRACE email address which has been established for this purpose: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thanks so much for being willing to share your memories and details that are so important with GRACE. The investigation will take time, but if you have a story to tell, please be bold in making sure GRACE is aware that you want to share information.
